SMC Pneumatic Safety Related Products

US-Sistema
SISTEMA is a safety integrity software tool for the evaluation of machine applications provided by the IFA (Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance). SMC provides you SISTEMA libraries (Version 2) with safety related parameters for SMC products as download to help as a guide to calculate your safety function.
CIP Safety Module
EX600 CIP Safety units with up to 128 outputs and 16 safety inputs. It works on a variety of manifolds including SY, JSY, VQC, and IITV23. The protocol utilized is CIP Safety (Ethernet/IP) which works with IEC61508/62061 and ISO 13849-1.
Drop Prevention
SMC has numerous solutions for load drop prevention. End lock cylinders lock and hold the load at the end of stroke. Locking cylinders have the ability to lock a load anywhere within the stroke. Series ASP is a speed controller with an integrated pilot check valve. This combination makes it possible to control cylinder speeds and permits temporary intermediate stops. 5-port solenoid valve combines the double check block with a 3-position exhaust center solenoid valve will enable the cylinder to stop in the middle of maintain its position for long periods of time.
