2 finger grippers are the most popular style of gripper. SMC has many variations in 2 finger grippers to fit a variety of applications and work pieces.

3 finger grippers are great for round work pieces. The 3 fingers movement is synchronized by either a wedge cam or a rotary cam mechanism.

4 finger grippers are optimal for postioning square work pieces as well as picking up round objects. Its wedge cam design minimizes its overall size while retaining a high holding force making it suitable for end-of-arm (end effector) or space constrained pick and place applications.

Gripper Multi Hand Adapter allows for the handling of various workpieces by a single robot.  Up to 3 grippers can be mounted as a single end of arm tool.

The Auto Hand Changing (AHC) system, coupled with a tool adaptor, can be quickly linked and interchanged with either a standard or high precision pneumatic gripper. It is very versatile and can be integrated into a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) making the AHC an effective 2-in-1 gripper component. The MA2 load bearing unit has a max. transportable mass of 3 kg, with a built-in failsafe mechanism for drop prevention when there is loss of air pressure. Paired with the tool adaptor, it can link with two types of grippers.

The Compact Compressor CRP series supplies compressed air in an environment with no air source and can also function as a vacuum pump, generating vacuum without the use of a vacuum ejector. The CRP series is suitable for all industries, particularly collaborative robots, industrial robots, and transport robots such as automated guided vehicles, AGV, and autonomous mobile robots, AMR. The CRP series is an Oil-free reciprocating compressor. A single unit can be used to provide positive or vacuum pressure.

LEHR is an electric gripper with a universal mounting interface and plug-in software compatibility with several collaborative robots.  The gripper's motor has an integrated controller, enabling operation with a single cable with M8 connector.  Rounded edges and corners offer safer human interaction and low risk of collision injuries in the cobot environment.  Two body shape choices offer versatility with an application's spatial constraints.  A self-locking mechanism saves prevents drops after power loss, while saving energy during gripping and standby.

The LEH family of electric grippers includes three series fitted with two fingers. Series include the LEHZ standard, the LEHZJ with IP50 dust cover, and the LEHF with low profile fingers and long stroke options. Benefits include adjustable gripping forces, a drop prevention function, and gauging capability for recognizing different dimensions and outputting length measurements.

Series MHM is a magnetic gripper that can be used in place of vacuum cups or grippers when holding a metallic workpiece. Auto switches can be mounted on 2 surfaces. Expanded mounting options include body tapped, lateral, and central.

EXW1 series is a compact and lightweight wireless communication module that is intended to be installed on industrial robot or moving fixtures.  EXW1 supports a faster wireless communication up to 1 Mbps and external antenna to allow installation within metal shielded locations and locations that have obstructed line of sight.  EXW1 can be used in combination of EX600-W wireless fieldbus systems.

JSY series is a 5-port directional control valve ideal for the robotic arms and end of arm tools.  It has compact and lightweight design while improving its flow characteristics.  JSY series is available as plug-in and non plug-in types.  There are 3 valve body sizes available for JSY series, JSY1000 (6.4mm), JSY3000 (10mm) and JSY5000 (15mm).  JSY1000 is the world's smallest width 5 port valve with body width of 6.4mm.  JSY plug-in type is compatible with fieldbus and ethernet communication module such as EX600 and EX260.

The EX600 serial interface offers a full suite of diagnostics and programmable parameters to meet the most stringent requirements. The EX600 offers excellent flexibility including digital input, digital output and analog input unit options. With the use of D-sub output blocks, a maximum of 9 remote D-sub manifolds can be attached to one EX600 communication module. This serial interface is compatible with series SV1000/2000/3000, VQC1000/2000/4000, S0700 and the new SY series valves. Available protocols include Ethernet/IP™, PROFINET. Series JMGP compact guided actuators are double acting, compact and lightweight. The JMGP is suitable for pushing, lifting or clamping applications.

Series JCQ Compact Actuators are double acting, single rod, compact and lightweight.

The ZGS Vacuum Gripper System (Foam Type) is an ideal solution for automated palletizing and depalletizing applications, particularly for handling corrugated cardboard. All-in-one unit simplifies setup and operation by integrating all the necessary function for adsorption - ejector, supply/release valve, silencer, robot flange and pressure switch - into a single unit.

The ZXPE5 series is a lightweight and compact vacuum gripper that does not require an air source due to built-in vacuum pump. Energy-saving operation possible via automatic/manual modes. One of the notable options include the FDA compliant cup material. The unit includes connector, mounting flange, atmospheric release valve, integrated vacuum pump, and optional tool changer.

The vacuum unit is a plug and play integration kit that is compatible with several collaborative robots.  The design is compact and lightweight with many cup configurations including 1 cup, 2 cup or 4 cup options.  The cup options include variations of shapes, materials, and sizes.  One of the notable options include the FDA compliant cup material.  The unit includes connector, mounting flange, protective cover, and integrated vacuum unit.

The ZK2*A series is an energy-saving generator with 93% reduced air consumption. It has a 50% increase in suction flow compared to other single stage SMC generators. The ZK2*A also has various mounting options to choose from.

SMC suction cups are designed in a range of 19 diameters from 2mm to 200mm for use in delicate or heavy applications. SMC vacuum cups are available to fit many unusual shapes and are constructed from a variety of premium materials such as Silicon, NBR, Urethane, Fluorine etc. Installation options can be specified on either spring loaded buffers or threaded stems. Special application cups are also available such as check valve, porous material, annulus area etc.

The ZP, ZP2 and ZP3 series lateral entry adapters offer a wide variety of cup diameters, materials and designs to suit multiple applications. The adapters are available with SMC's acclaimed built-in one-touch fittings. Buffer types are available with strokes up to 50mm, depending on the series.

Non-contact suction cups (XT661) utilize the Bernoulli principle for picking up parts where direct contact is not feasible. The design makes it possible for picking up porous, uneven and serrated surfaced objects.

XT661's design averts deforming or distorting the shape of fragile and non-rigid workpieces such as: foil, thin sheets, paper, and printed circuit boards.

Vacuum pad and generator are integrated for space savings. The two-stage generator increases suction flow up to 50% and reduces air consumption up to 30%. Design features allow for daisy-chain piping and the mounting with lock plates makes for easier maintenance.

ZP2V is a vacuum saving valve that when multiple vacuum pads are operated by one vacuum generator, and some of them are not holding the work piece, the reduction of vacuum pressure is restricted and the work piece can remain held by the rest of pads. When the work pieces have different shapes, the control circuit can be simplified. There is no need for switching operation when changing work pieces.
