General Use Compact Chiller
HRS and HRS-R compact recirculating chillers are designed to meet the widest range of single-point applications in both industrial and technology settings. The package design is robust enough for the factory, yet ergonomic and compact for lab installations. Coolant can be either heated or cooled within the set temperature range. Choose from eight cooling capacities, air or water cooled refrigerant, and global power supply options.

SMC compact chillers are industrial grade cooling systems that combine high efficiency with consistent temperature control. The reduced footprint of these chillers is made possible by the unique arrangement of the refrigerant circulation system.
- The compressor is positioned at the base to provide stability for the chiller's weight and vibration.
- The condenser is placed along the side or back so that heat exhaust can efficiently exit the cabinet.
- The expansion valve is located in the piping between the condenser and the evaporator.
- The evaporator is usually found near the water tank and pump assembly where the refrigerant cycle meets the fluid circulation system to cool the liquid.
