Filters
Modular style air filters combine the element and bowl in one piece, for simple replacement requiring no tools. The standard polycarbonate 360° transparent bowl avoids corrosion, easily indicates bowl contents and has auto drain capability to minimize maintenance time. SMC pneumatic filters have a standard filtration rating of 5 microns and the capability to filter up to 0.01 microns.
AF
The AF-D series of modular air filters brings a modern appearance to SMC's line of filters while maintaining the high performance of our other series. These 5 μm units can serve as appropriate filtration for many applications or as a pre-filter for fine filtration/coalescing units. The transparent bowl guard on the size 30 and larger provides improved environmental protection as well as full view of the bowl contents. The AF-D is currently available in three body sizes with more to come in the near future.
AFD-D
The AFD-D series of modular micro mist separators (coalescing filters) brings a modern appearance to SMC's line of filters while maintaining the high performance of our other series. These 0.01 μm remove most measurable particles and further reduce the oils carried over from the compressor. The transparent bowl guard on the size 30 and larger provides improved environmental protection as well as full view of the bowl contents. The AFD-D is currently available in three body sizes with more to come in the near future.
AFM-D
The AFM-D series of modular mist separators (coalescing filters) brings a modern appearance to SMC's line of filters while maintaining the high performance of our other series. These 0.3 μm units remove finer particles than standard filters while also reducing entrained oil from the compressioin process. The transparent bowl guard on the size 30 and larger provides improved environmental protection as well as full view of the bowl contents. The AFM-D is currently available in three body sizes with more to come in the near future.
AFG-D
AFG-D elementless water separator eliminates the need of filter elements, allowing for larger flow capacity and eliminating the hassle of regular maintenance. AFG-D utilizes centrifugal force to effectively separate water from compressed air, achieving 99% water droplet removal. AFG-D modular body style allows it to be installed into existing FRL systems.
AF8/9 Large Flow Air Filter
AF8/9 series large flow air filters are an effective filtration solution in larger port sizes. Equipped with sintered bronze (standard) or stainless (optional) elements, these particulate filters are available in 2, 5 (std), 10, 20, 40, 70, and 100 micron ratings.
HF2-BF
The new HF2-BF series of modular air filters are designed for hygiene management in accordance with HACCP and other standards. These filters were developed for applications which require sanitary air such as dental equipment or when air is touching food products. The HF2-BF series filters include nominal filtration ratings from 5μm to 0.01μm as well as odor removal. The HF2-BF series currently includes port sizes of 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 with flow rates up to 800 L/min.
ZFC
Series ZF are air suction filters that prevent trouble in vacuum equipment caused by contaminants in the air. They are light weight and compact. ZF filter elements are easily replaced without tools.
SF
SF series clean air filters are available as cartridge type or disposable type models. The filtration level is 0.01 micron (filtering efficiency of 99.99%) on units with membrane elements. The SFB20, with a sintered metallic element, has a nominal filtration of 120 micron. The SF series can be used under different environments with chemical resistant and heat resistant materials (refer to catalog specifications for each series).
