SMC Corporation of America Opens Applications for the Sustainability in Automation Award

NOBLESVILLE, IN., (March. 6, 2026) – SMC Corporation of America is pleased to announce that applications for the Sustainabillity in Automation Award are now open. This award is presented in conjunction with National Pneumatics Day on April 27, 2026 and honors organizations making measurable, meaningful strides toward a more sustainable future in automation.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly critical imperative across all sectors of manufacturing and industry, SMC recognizes the need to celebrate those who are leading by example. The Sustainability in Automation Award was established to spotlight companies and organizations that demonstrate genuine commitment to reducing environmental impact through thoughtful engineering, sound operational decisions, and industry-wide leadership.
“Spotlighting companies contributing to sustainability sets an important tone for our partners, proving that sustainable choices deliver operational value far beyond eco-friendliness,” says Tyler Turner, Sustainable Development Manager at SMC. “This award honors those proving sustainability strengthens both performance and the future of the automation industry, inspiring others to adopt similar practices.”
Whether through innovative product design, energy-efficient processes, supply chain responsibility, or industry advocacy, the Sustainability in Automation Award honors those who are actively shaping a cleaner, more sustainable industrial landscape. Applicants include but are not limited to end-users, OEMs, suppliers, distributors, industry associations and peers, or any company demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility in the automation field.
Applications must be submitted by April 10, 2026.
